As someone who is newly into learning about nutrition and fitness, this book was a perfect, easily digestible read that gave me tons of amazing insights. With the amount of conflicting knowledge online and the abundance of resources we all have to sift through on a day-to-day basis, I found this read great to get a solid baseline knowledge of nutrition and the way it affects my well-being. A book I will absolutely be keeping handy in the future!

It is one thing to talk about food, but another thing to talk about nutrition. Nutrition to me seemed like an overwhelming, complex topic. However, with this book teaching its readers nutrition through easily digestible stories, the read was fun and easy to follow. I enjoyed every page and recommend it to anyone. It will benefit your relationship with health and food!

This book was the only of its kind that I've read which approached the "bland" subject of healthy food with a fresh twist. Instead of a critical tone, her book presents the subject matter gently and pragmatically with a child-like tone that I really enjoyed and found very relatable. And I won't feel bad for pushing this book on friends and family because it's simple and good.

This book is eye opening…..it made me realize how easy it is to follow the crowd and end up with typical American diseases like heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. As a population, I think we are not equipped to make great food choices. There is information in this book that I feel like I should have been taught somewhere along the line. This book gave me a whole new perspective on how my body uses the nutrients in food and how certain foods can help prevent disease. I highly recommend it!

I very much enjoyed this book. I found it amusing and informative. I was also inspired to "try a little harder" in the kitchen. Since retiring from the restaurant business, where I was the chef & kitchen manager, I have conceded much of the cooking in our home to my wife. Chew On This, with it's clever short stories, has awoken my instincts & drive in our kitchen - and I am having FUN. Thank you!!

This book is so fun to read! The conversations around food and health are packaged in stories that are easy to understand and give me ideas and back up for speaking to others about the benefits of a plant-based diet. Written by a medical professional who is also a nutrition expert! A rare find and we need more educators like Dr. Bussard! It's a quick read and I'm going back for a second go because I don't want to miss any good information. I've already made the dressing -- super easy and delicious and healthy!
